Carlotta says (6:59 AM): what if they remade brokeback mountain for new zealand audiences but instead of being about gay ranchers it was about sheep farmers who fuck their sheep ... Kyle says (7:00 AM): ...i dont even get how thats a remake ... Carlotta says (7:00 AM): all of the stuff that happens in brokeback mountain would happen except theyd be in nz and instead of being two guys it would be a guy and a sheep Kyle says (7:01 AM): this is legit the most fucked thing youve ever said ... Carlotta says (7:01 AM): ... Kyle says (7:01 AM): aside from the rural setting theres like nothing in common Carlotta says (7:01 AM): i dont get how theres nothing in common

Both De Matteo and creator Marc Cherry have joked that they would love to reveal Angie to be De Matteo's "Sopranos" character Adrianna alive and in witness protection.
i would cry and start watching desperate housewives if this were the case. fuck that would be amazing and they should clearly do it
edit: ive legit been sitting here for like an hour thinking about it and they shouldnt do it. sorryyyyy |

pretty sure í've never even mentioned this before (out of shame) but i was raised as a jehovah's witness and so even when i stopped going to church i still lived with a family that doesn't celebrate christmas and it just hit me that i might have to celebrate it this year, which will be pretty petrifying, i legit have no idea of the procedure. also i'm really poor and also selfish
that said, i want drive-by truckers albums on vinyl please, holy fuck i don't think i've been this obsessed with a band in like five years. i saw them at real groovy, they're the prettiest things i've ever seen |

animal collective in auckland aaaaaaaah! i'm so sad because i''ll either be stuck in morrinsville broke all summer or stuck in wellington working all summer. all bands and festivals should be organised in one place, and then i'll go live there and everything will be cool.
maybe i'll describe my dream summer anyway
oct 23-26 - wellington folk festival - wellington nov 22 - casiotone for the painfully alone - wellington nov 25 - lightning bolt - wellington dec 3 - jarvis cocker - welllington dec 8 - animal collective - auckland dec 16 - akron/family - wellington dec 18 - why? - wellington dec 29-31 - rhythhm & vines - gisborne december 22 - big day out - auckland feb 15 - isis - wellington march 12 - the pixies - auckland
that was fun. also kind of the b52s and fleetwood mac and buzzcocks and maybe even pearl jam, though big shows scare me
i guess i could move to auckland and switch to the auckland shows instead? too scary though! |

i'm self catered now so it doesnt even concern me but im ljing about this anyway because its hilarious.
so our dining room thing is truly gruesome, the food is almost always foul, and i havent been in there recently but apparently it smells like sewage now. a couple of weeks ago some people made a facebook group about how yuck it is, and the hostel manager person joined the group and posted this:
Hi Guys / Girls,
I hope your holidays are treating you well!
I have recently come across this Facebook page which has identified that there are certain issues relating to the kitchen operations at uStay Urban Apartments. It is a concern that these ‘issues’ have been brought to my attention via a social networking site. If these concerns had come to me directly it would have given me the ability to investigate and respond.
Firstly, I will admit that lately we have been experiencing a smell external to the kitchen on route down the main stairwell. After several attempts to resolve this over the recent weeks it has been located as an issue from beneath the building itself. External plumbing contractors were called and the cause was confirmed to have been a burst drainage pipe, carrying water waste from the kitchen. Work began immediately to rectify the situation and will continue into the coming days to ensure that the problem does not reoccur.
How can I resolve or attempt to resolve the concerns you have raised as a facebook group?
It would be great if you could all email me directly any specific issues, factual situations and relevant concerns pertaining to the kitchen operations. This way I can then compile the given information as a whole and identify the main key areas and points. I will then discuss and address these with the Kitchen Management team and ask that action (within reason) be taken with immediate effect.
In the interim I propose that we carry out a ‘like it’ or ‘leave it’ survey within the dining room, this will work in the following way:
After the completion of your meal we will have two coloured disks at the RA table.
One disk will be green representing that you ‘like it’ - the meal given during that specified dinner time was enjoyed.
The other disk will be red, representing ‘leave it’ - in other words you would prefer that it be left off menu.
We will carry out this exercise to get indication which meals you are enjoying and those that you are not.
I am happy to respond to individual comments posted if requested.
The management team within uStay encourage you at any point to speak directly with us or your RA about issues and concerns.
FUNNY
also handsome furs tonight, kool |
